Arthur’s Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon Malbec Petit Verdot .

This stylish wine is a tribute to Arthur Follett, who planted the first vines on the family property in the 1880’s. A blend of 93% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Malbec, and 2% Petit Verdot this wine is truly handcrafted from the vineyard through to the finished product. The grapes were carefully selected from 40 to 50 year old vines from our family vineyard on the famous Langhorne Creek flood plain. Small open fermenters were used with maceration times varying from 812 days. The wine was then aged in 100% French Oak for 20 months with only the best barrels of the vintage chosen for the final blend, which remained unfined and unfiltered.

The resultant wine shows classic blackcurrant aromas with violets, subtle mint and savoury characters. The palate has great depth and silkiness and shows wonderful intensity and length of flavour. With correct cellaring this wine will drink beautifully over the next 15 -20 years
